What is WhisperType?
WhisperType is free, open-source Android AI dictation powered by Gemini Live. Bring your own Google AI Studio key (BYOK). A floating mic bubble sits over Gboard or any keyboard and inserts AI transcripts into any text field. No WhisperType servers and no subscription. Tradeoff, stated plainly: audio goes to Google under your key.
