What is SmartPack?

SmartPack is a dependency-free lossless archiver for Ubuntu, built entirely with Python’s standard library. It creates its ownspk format and adapts compression to the data, combining content-aware codec selection, cross-file block deduplication, solid packing for small files, and sparse zero-block handling. Archives include per-block SHA-256 verification and safe extraction checks, with auto, fast, balanced, and max modes.
